Methodology
Modex separates source facts, normalized records and derived views so every metric has a clear boundary.
Data Sources
Modex combines public model catalogs and benchmark datasets. External values pass through adapters into Modex domain types before they reach the UI.
Pricing
Prices are preserved as source-reported USD per-token values and displayed in your selected currency per one million tokens. Euro prices use ECB reference exchange rates. Missing prices remain N/A; Modex does not estimate provider fees.
Benchmarks
Benchmark values retain their source and methodology. Incompatible scales are not combined into an invented score.
Model Changes
Change events are deterministic comparisons of normalized values: prices, context, capabilities, benchmarks and lifecycle state. No AI judge or subjective ranking is used.
When a value is unavailable, Modex shows N/A or omits the metric. Source timestamps and ingestion timestamps are never presented as the same thing.
